Thanks to the hundreds of people who attended the Dimmitt Toys For Tots Rally this past weekend. The Toys For Tots Rally is an annual tradition for the Dimmitt Automotive Group. This year, we had the largest rally we have ever had. We donated approx. 5,000 toys to the local Tampa Bay Toys For Tots. We had several clients and friends bring hundreds of toys. Dimmitt Automotive Group and International Diamond Center hosted the annual Carats & Cars event a few weeks ago. Dimmitt Automotive Group and International Diamond Center invited their top clients to browse exclusive cars and jewelry while enjoy delicious hors d'oeuvres. The Rolls-Royce Dawn took center stage in the showroom. International Diamond Center showcased pieces worn by celebrities and allowed guests to try them on. Improving the local community is a vital part of the Dimmitt Automotive Group mission. Last weekend, volunteers from Dimmitt Automotive Group participated in the Salvation Army Turkey handout. Thousands of turkeys and bags of food were distributed to those in need. In a few weeks, Dimmitt Automotive Group volunteers will ring bells and gather donations for The Salvation Army. Dimmitt Automotive Group was a proud participant in the annual Charity Works Golf Tournament to benefit local charities in the Tampa Bay area. The Charity Works Golf Tournament was held on November 17th at Belleair Country Club. The tournament was a huge success, bringing together local companies to raise money for the local community. Charity Works was founded in March 1996, and incorporated in the State of Florida on April 16, 1996. Its corporate headquarters is located in Clearwater, Florida. Charity Works has been active in numerous philanthropic activities, including fund-raising events that have benefited thousands of disadvantaged and underprivileged children and adults. In addition, the organization has focused on building a unique network of vendors and philanthropic affiliates that have enabled Charity Works to assist other nonprofits in the purchasing of goods and services under favorable terms and conditions that otherwise would be unavailable to them. We now are expanding our organization and its programs to provide services nationwide. On the weekend of November 12th, The Morton Plant Hospital celebrated 100 years of service to the community. Guests participated in a Friday night kickoff party, Saturday Gala and Sunday brunch. All proceeds from the weekend benefited the Morton Plant Hospital. The Dimmitt Automotive Group is proud to support the Morton Plant Hospital. The Morton Plant Hospital was first opened in 1916 with 20 hospital beds. Today they have 687 hospital beds and care for over 50,000 patients a year. Last Friday, November 4th, the 16th Annual Horse Play Golf Tournament was held at Innisbrook Golf Club. The Horse Play Golf Tournament provides scholarships for wounded veterans and challenged adults and children who participate in equine therapies at Quantum Leap Farm. Dimmitt Automotive Group was proud to support Excellerate Jacksonville this past weekend. Excellerate Jacksonville hosted a cocktail reception on Friday night which featured exotic cars, jets and delicious food. Saturday morning, participants enjoyed a police escorted cruise on 60 miles of closed highway. The entire weekend raised money and awareness for The Police Athletic League (PAL). The Police Athletic League of Jacksonville promotes educational, athletic and leadership programs for children. Up to 1,000 kids everyday participate in this after school experience. Hands Across The Bay is local charity that assists families in need and serves as an advocates for domestic violence victims. Tampa Bay's Dancing With The Stars 2016 was an exclusive event that featured prominent business leaders and local celebrities dancing with a professional dancer. The dancing competition was exciting and it raised thousands of dollars for the local charity. Bentley Tampa Bay showcased the new Bentley Bentayga, Bentleys first SUV. Dimmitt Automotive Group hosts a monthly car show, Dimmitt Cars & Coffee Afterparty, in the Dimmitt Exotic & Luxury Preowned Car building. Tampa/St Pete's Cars & Coffee is held every third Saturday of the month at DuPont Registry, which is only a few miles from Dimmitt's used car facility. Cars & Coffee began at 7am and featured hundreds of luxury, exotic and muscle cars. Around 8:15am, the Dimmitt team members and a few dozen cars left DuPont Registry and returned to the Dimmitt Exotic & Luxury Preowned Car Building. Dimmitt served a light breakfast, fresh fruit and raffled off items which raised money for the Zoo's efforts. Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo brought various animals which the guests really enjoyed. The Zoo also taught guests about the programs they have in place to protect the welfare of captive animals.
