7 Reasons why you should wrap your car vs. paint!

Why Wrap, and not Paint? Many inquiring customers often wonder to themselves, “Why should I wrap my car instead of painting it?” A paint job can range from $3,000-$10,000+ depending on the quality and paint procedure. Whereas a vehicle wrap can cost $2,500-$5000+ depending on the material and extent of the project. Partial wraps such as roofs, hoods, chrome trim blackouts, and other accents are also a great way to get started in the wrap industry beginning at around $300 shop depending. Along with this much cheaper price tag comes MANY benefits that paint cannot offer. Paint quality can vary especially whilst looking for a cheaper price. Cheaper paints will look great at first, but within a few years can show wear and tear resulting in the paint job needing to be redone. Professionally installed vehicle wraps will leave your vehicle with a breathtaking finish for years to be admired. 7 Reasons to Wrap Your Car Cost: A high-quality paint job can range from $3,000-$10,000+ depending on the color, paint shop, and quality of the paints. Professionally installed films with the highest quality materials can cost $2500-$5,000+ and will have a life expectancy of 4-10 years vinyl depending. For a fraction of the cost of paint, one can choose to wrap their vehicle for as long or little as one desires. Resale Value: Being able to maintain the manufacturer's original paint will keep the resale value intact from a devalued aftermarket paint job. If your company or preference is, for instance, a bright exotic color, it may not be your potential buyers favorite color. Having the option to keep your vehicles original factory color will allow you to keep your resale value intact. Countless Options: Upon purchasing your vehicle you may have wanted something different, or possibly a color that is not available in factory paint. This is where vinyl wraps will allow all of your car fantasies to come true. You will be able to stand out from all of the others and have a truly one of a kind vehicle that suits your personality. If after a few years you are looking for change once again, just have us remove it and choose a new color! Transform your vehicle every few years and keep everyone guessing! Installation Time: When choosing to paint your vehicle you are allowing yourself to be without transportation for up to two weeks or longer. When it comes to wrapping a vehicle, we can have your car fully transformed within 3 -5 days and ready to be picked back up. Don’t leave yourself stranded, wrap it! Protection: Every covered inch of your vehicle in vinyl is protecting your factory paint from all natural hazards and weathering, and not be affected by prolonged sun exposure. Vehicle wrap vinyl is a very durable ~3mill thick material and will act as a shield. Say goodbye to stone chips, abrasion, and other natural hazards! Easy Maintenance: Is constantly waxing your vehicle beginning to take a toll on you? Allow yourself enjoy never having to wax again! Vehicle wraps are extremely easy to maintain and will look brand new once again from only hand washing with soap and water. Also be sure to ask your local installer about specialty quick detail sprays and ceramic coating packages to keep the film even easier to care for! Long Lasting, Safe Removal: High-quality vinyl ensures a long lasting product that can also be safely removed. A wraps life is highly affected by how long it is left outside in the sun causing it to fade quicker. Keeping your vehicle in the garage will allow you to maximize your wraps life to the fullest extent. The vehicle wrap may be removed safely between the 4-10 year period and will NOT affect your current paint. The Big Red Bus arrives at Dimmitt

This week we had the opportunity to host the Big Red Bus. As soon as the bus parked we had Dimmitt employees lined up to donate their blood. While we were waiting our turn we learned some very staggering numbers about blood donation and how badly they need donations. Here are some of the stats: An estimated 38 percent of the U.S. population is eligible to donate blood at any given time, less than 10 percent of that eligible population actually do each year. Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood A single donation can potentially help more than one patient. We will be hosting the Big Red Bus a couple times a year so check our website and social media channels for the next date. Every donation helps! *All facts in this blog came from http://www.redcrossblood.org/learn-about-blood/blood-facts-and-statistics

The all new 2018 ASTON MARTIN DB11 V8

The 2018 Aston Martin DB11 V8 now at Dimmitt Automotive That's right the 2018 Aston Martin DB11 V8 has arrived. This car is the follow-up act to the flagship DB11 V12 that debuted less than a year ago. The DB11 V8 looks virtually identical to its V12 powered sibling. But under that hood is one of our favorite engines—the thundering 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 developed by AMG. This lighter engine means the ability to run smaller brake pistons, delivering far better brake feel -- addressing probably my biggest complaint in the V12 car. Give us a call or stop by our dealership today to get all the details about this new work of art!

Audi Supports Wesley Chapel Football

On Thursday 2/21 the Wiregrass Ranch (Wesley Chapel, FL) football team had a home conference game against Wharton (Tampa, FL). It was a great game with lots of action from both sides! This game was also a part of a September initiative from high school football teams across America that are raising funds to help St. Jude Children's Research Hospital fight childhood cancer with every touchdown scored. As we near the end of this campaign, there has been more than $98,000 raised by these high school teams. Audi of Wesley Chapel was there in attendance for this great rivalry football game with a beautiful car display and handing out t-shirts to the crowd! We are proud to help support these kids and this community.

Dimmitt Automotive Group Establishes Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund

On behalf of the Dimmitt family, our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those impacted by Hurricane Harvey. As you are aware, the state of Texas has been devastated by flooding from Hurricane Harvey. The National Weather Service said the flooding "will likely be the largest economic U.S. natural disaster". The impact on the state is massive, with over 200,000 homes damaged by the floods and an estimated cost of 160 billion. Makeshift shelters are being creating throughout the affected areas to house the thousands of families left homeless. For many of those families, the difficult road to recovery has just begun. The threat from Hurricane Harvey is far from over, as extremely dangerous flooding continues in Texas and parts of Louisiana. Getting help in some areas will be challenging for some time due to devastating floodwaters and closed roads. This is a heartbreaking and challenging situation for those in the storm’s path. The American Red Cross is working around the clock to provide safe shelter and comfort for the hundreds of thousands of people impacted by this disaster. It is with heartfelt hope that we ask you, our friends and family, to join us in offering a token of support to those suffering and in desperate need of help. Dimmitt Automotive Group has established a Hurricane Harvey Relief fundraising campaign through The American Red Cross and will be matching donations made through our campaign, up to $5,000*. All donations will go directly to helping those in need from this epic disaster. Donate Here When communities stand up to help others, we can bring hope to families even in their darkest moments. We thank you for your support. *maximum accumulative donation by Dimmitt Automotive Group.

Community Values Day at Quantum Leap Farms

About a dozen team members of Dimmitt Auto Group eagerly participated in Community Values Day on Sunday, June 4th at Quantum Leap Farm in Odessa, Florida. Community Values Day allows Dimmitt associates to impact others throughout the community through service and engagement. Quantum Leap Farm specializes in offering equine-assisted therapies, and those of the other “resident” farm animals, to help visitors focus on their abilities and not their disabilities. Their mission statement reads; “Quantum Leap Farm empowers children and adults of all abilities to grow strong, achieve therapeutic goals and overcome challenges through equine-assisted therapies.” As anyone who is familiar with horses can tell you, these animals and people can develop some very special relationships. Quantum Leap Farm hopes to demonstrate the power of those relationships to its visitors. You can learn more about this amazing local facility by visiting their website at www.quantumleapfarm.org/. Dimmitt Auto Group associates volunteered their time in a wide-variety of ways including assisting with arts and crafts, face painting, ponies rides and helping to prepare and serve a delicious barbecue lunch for visitors. They were rewarded with grateful smiles, laughter, and memories that won't soon be forgotten. The event was open to the public for children with cancer and their families. Though it was for just a day, it gave our team a chance to make a difference in the lives of these children and those who love and care for them. While Dimmitt Auto Group has partnered with Quantum Leap Farm in the past on other special events, this is the first community service function in which we have teamed with them. This is the latest in a series of civic events and charitable causes the Dimmitt Auto Group embraces to make a difference in the communities we serve. As a family and community-focused company, we understand our responsibility to the region that has supported us for so long. As we continue to grow through our terrific team, we look forward to committing resources and encouraging the volunteer efforts of our staff to make our area a better place to live. Dimmitt Automotive Group Supports The 2017 Abe Brown Legacy Golf Tournament

Once again, Dimmitt Automotive Group is pleased to play an active role in the betterment of the communities of which we serve by sponsoring the 6th Annual Abe Brown Legacy Golf Tournament. The sold-out tournament took place on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at the beautiful Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor, FL. The day-long event included a continental breakfast, lunch, 4-person scramble, premium golfer prizes, and awards. Proceeds from team entry fees and tournament sponsorships go toward the efforts of Abe Brown Ministries founded by retired Hillsborough teacher and football coach Abe Brown. Brown worked in the Hillsborough County School System for 38 years, 23 of which were spent as both teacher and coach. He retired from active coaching in 1972, and in 1976 was saddened to learn one of his former football players had been charged with murder. Upon visiting this young man in prison, Coach Brown realized that while he had taught young men how to play football, he had failed to teach them how to live. To this day, The Ministry enables at-risk citizens to achieve productive and spiritually fulfilling lives. More information on Abe Brown Ministries can be found at their website www.abebrown.org.
