This past weekend, Dimmitt Automotive Group sponsored The 2016 UIPM World Cup Final in Sarasota, Florida. Athletes traveled from all over the world to compete in the Pentathlon which serves as the precursor to the Olympic games. Dimmitt Automotive Group proudly supports the athletes and the Modern Pentathlon. The Modern Pentathlon consists of five disciplines. The disciplines reflect the tests which a courier might have encountered in carrying out his duties: fighting off enemy assailants (fencing and shooting), navigating a river (swimming), overcoming a number of land-based obstacles on an unfamiliar horse (equine jumping), and traveling a significant distance on foot (running). These five events capture the essence of the human experience - pushing mind, body, and spirit to produce an unforgettable display of skill, endurance, and athleticism. Last weekend, McLaren Tampa Bay sponsored the 13th annual Celebration Exotic Car Festival in Celebration, Florida. The Celebration Exotic Car Festival benefits several charities including Make-a-Wish, Special Olympics and Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital. This great event has raised over 1 million dollars, the organizers volunteer and donate all proceeds to charity. The car show attracts hundreds of cars and over 40,000 enthusiasts. Dimmitt Automotive Group team members volunteered at the 10th Annual TAMCO Foundation Grand Slam Tournament last week. Volunteers setup all day to prepare for the cookout kickoff the night before the tournament. The two day event is held for wounded military members in the Tampa Bay region. The tournament draws over 65 boats, 25 wounded veterans and their families, and many volunteers who help make this event happen. The wounded veterans are thanked for their service and selfless dedication to their country. Dimmitt Automotive Group hosts a monthly car show after the DuPont Cars & Coffee. In March, Dimmitt Automotive Group hosted The Florida Aquarium for the Dimmitt Cars & Coffee Afterparty. Hundreds of supercar owners, their families and car enthusiasts attended the event. The Florida Aquarium brought a few Penguins and Alligators to showcase. The guests were thrilled to view these animals and learn about them. Dimmitt Automotive Group raffled off t-shirts, hats and other items and donated the proceeds to The Florida Aquarium. Dimmitt Automotive Group supported the Festivals of Speed St Pete 2016. This event supported the Pediatric Cancer Foundation and hosted hundreds of luxury and exotic automobiles. The Sarasota Studio, the newest addition to the Dimmitt Automotive Group, hosted the Southeastern Guide Dogs this past week. Southeastern Guide Dogs sold 50 life sized dog sculptures to local businesses in order to raise funds to train guide dogs. Dimmitt Automotive Group & The Sarasota Studio is a proud supporter of Southeastern Guide Dogs and was thankful for the opportunity to host this special night where 10 of the first sculptures were unveiled. A special sculpture named "Argent Guardian" was dedicated to The Dimmitt Automotive Group & The Sarasota Studio. Argent Guardian features silver automotive paint and also Ferrari red automotive paint. For three years, the Dimmitt Automotive Group has been committed to the American Cancer Society and their “Road to Recovery” Program. Every day thousands of cancer patients need a ride to treatment, but some may not have a way to get there. The American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery Program provides transportation to and from treatment for people who have cancer who do not have a ride or are unable to drive themselves. Volunteer drivers donate their time and the use of their cars so that patients can receive the life-saving treatments they need. The Dimmitt Automotive Group has been a proud supporter of this program. We have trained our courtesy drivers to best help those in need of transportation to and from the treatments. All of our courtesy drivers say they feel satisfied and very fortunate to be able to do this for people. Giving back to the community and helping those who need the transportation is what it's all about. Thanks to Mr. Dimmitt's generosity, hundreds of rides have been given in Dimmitt Automotive Group vehicles. The program has come a long way, and the Dimmitt Automotive Group is looking forward to seeing it grow as we will continue to provide transportation to as many patients as possible! Last week, The Clearwater Free Clinic’s annual Martinis and Matisse fundraiser was held at the FrankCrum Complex. Guests purchased lottery tickets and entered to win donated artwork while enjoying live music, fine wine, smooth martinis, and amazing food provided by some of the area’s finest restaurants. A few weeks ago, Dimmitt Automotive Group sponsored the Festivals of Speed Orlando. The Festivals of Speed Orlando is a 3 day event. Friday night is the luxury lifestyle jetport reception, Saturday is the golf tournament and Sunday is the car show. Dimmitt Automotive Group is a proud sponsor of Festivals of Speed. This year, a portion of the proceeds went to the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. Matthew Jones, manager of McLaren Tampa Bay, showcased the new McLaren 570S in the car show Sunday. The Salvation Army has been ringing bells and collecting donation in red kettles for decades. Dimmitt Automotive Group team members volunteered yesterday at the Publix on McMullen Booth Road by ringing bells and collecting donations. As seen in the photo, the daughter of a team member enjoyed helping her father collect donations. Dimmitt Automotive Group has been volunteering with the Salvation Army for years and will continue to assist their charitable efforts in the future. Dimmitt Automotive Group would like to extend a sincere appreciation to all those involved with the Salvation Army.
