Once again, Dimmitt Automotive Group is pleased to play an active role in the betterment of the communities of which we serve by sponsoring the 6th Annual Abe Brown Legacy Golf Tournament. The sold-out tournament took place on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at the beautiful Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor, FL. The day-long event included a continental breakfast, lunch, 4-person scramble, premium golfer prizes, and awards. Proceeds from team entry fees and tournament sponsorships go toward the efforts of Abe Brown Ministries founded by retired Hillsborough teacher and football coach Abe Brown. Brown worked in the Hillsborough County School System for 38 years, 23 of which were spent as both teacher and coach. He retired from active coaching in 1972, and in 1976 was saddened to learn one of his former football players had been charged with murder. Upon visiting this young man in prison, Coach Brown realized that while he had taught young men how to play football, he had failed to teach them how to live. Staff Appreciation Luncheon The Dimmitt mission statement “Our mission is to improve the quality of life for our associates, our guests, and the community through service, excellence and innovation.” isn’t just a statement, it’s a way of life here. In keeping with the long-time pledge of community outreach, Dimmitt associates recently worked with the Kind Mouse, to help local families in need of assistance after career loss. Following a successful food drive for the Kind Mouse, a team of Dimmitt associates volunteered their time to help the Kind Mouse distribute donated items. The Dimmitt team helped to sort, pack, and deliver meals to local schools. These efforts reflect Dimmitt Automotive Group’s steadfast commitment to support the fight against hunger in the surrounding community. The Kind Mouse works to assist families in the area who are experiencing a change following the loss of a job. The Kind Mouse is founded on the belief that “no hardworking individual should ever feel despair due to economic hardships beyond their control. Everyone has a right to feel safe and secure in their own homes, and no one should ever go hungry.” The Dimmitt team members volunteered through the company’s Community Values Day, a day set aside for team members to represent Dimmitt through outreach in their local communities. These opportunities enable Dimmitt employees to invest in their community, and help uphold Dimmitt’s commitment to community service. McLaren Tampa Bay was proud to participate in this year's Celebration Exotic Car Festival. The weekend started with a track event at Daytona Speedway followed by a Cheap Trick Concert and Jay Leno comedy show. The Saturday car show hosted hundreds of unique vehicles. The following day was the Supercar Cruise. This year's Celebration Exotic Car Festival raised money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. McLaren Tampa Bay showcased a few unique vehicles and the Saturday car show including the McLaren 720S. McLaren Tampa Bay would like to thank Jeff and his team for hosting another amazing weekend. Dimmitt Automotive Group participated in this year's Festivals of Speed St Pete. Festivals of Speed St Pete 2017 supported the Children's Dream Fund. The Children's Dream Fund is centered around fulfilling dreams for local children ages 3-18 who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. The Children's Dream Fund gathers Dreams by doctors, nurses, Child Life and Social Workers, friends, families and other patients. Rolls-Royce Tampa Bay was honored to host the 1,000 Points of Wine Gourmet Dinner on behalf of the Stuart Society. The Stuart Society raises money for The Museum of Fine Arts in Downtown St. Petersburg. Dimmitt Automotive Group hosted an exclusive dinner that featured 10 distinct wines. The wines were all rated 100 points by Robert Parker, the highest rating by one of the most admired critics. The 5 course dinner was cooked by two very accomplished chef's who flew in from California. The combination of exquisite wine, delicious food and great people made this an evening to remember. Dimmitt is proud to support the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. The annual dinner and auction, Winter on the Beach, was held last month at the SandPearl Resort. The Clearwater Marine Aquarium celebrates it's 45th anniversary this year. The Aquarium's main mission is care and rehabilitation for their resident marine animals. The Clearwater Marine Aquarium is undergoing an extensive expansion that will allow them to rescue and release more marine life. Dimmitt Automotive Group was proud to be a part of the annual "Cars for the Cure" event that was held on February 11th, 2017. The event was hosted by The American Lung Association at the beautiful Colonial TownPark in Lake Mary, Florida.Owners and enthusiasts drove from all over the state to showcase their beautiful automobiles. Dimmitt Automotive Group was the proud sponsor of the 2017 Martinis & Matisse charity event. The Martinis & Matisse event raised money for the Clearwater Free Clinic. Thanks to the hundreds of people who attended the Dimmitt Toys For Tots Rally this past weekend. The Toys For Tots Rally is an annual tradition for the Dimmitt Automotive Group. This year, we had the largest rally we have ever had. We donated approx. 5,000 toys to the local Tampa Bay Toys For Tots. We had several clients and friends bring hundreds of toys. Improving the local community is a vital part of the Dimmitt Automotive Group mission. Last weekend, volunteers from Dimmitt Automotive Group participated in the Salvation Army Turkey handout. Thousands of turkeys and bags of food were distributed to those in need. In a few weeks, Dimmitt Automotive Group volunteers will ring bells and gather donations for The Salvation Army.
