2019 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera
2019 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera
The DBS Aston Martin dates back to the 1960’s, and Superleggera is a term associated with Italian supercars. Leggera is Italian for “light, so adding the word “Super” before it suggests a significant reduction in mass. The DBS Superleggera is basically a DB11 AMR, with 715 horsepower, a lighter chassis and material upgrades. The AMR acromym stands for Aston Martin Racing, which represents Aston’s desire to differentiate its V-8 and V-12 models.

With a design that is distinctly Aston Martin, the 2019 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera is broader and more muscular than its predecessors. Aston Martin says the change is not one of mere style, but one of form and function, one made necessary to cool and control this menacingly attractive automobile. It is, after all, the most powerful production Aston Martin ever.

It Starts Upfront
Just a bit raw and edgy, to say the hexagonal grille of the 2019 DBS Superleggera dominates the aggressive appearance of this Aston Martin is perhaps an understatement. This is a car hungry for oxygen and Aston Martin designers and engineers deliver it through an oversized, bold grille to breath it in. Scoops on the long, sweeping hood line also assist in this endeavor. This is automotive art, at once beautiful and yet aggressive, commanding while lightweight.

Stronger suspensions, more powerful brakes and increased cooling usually mean more weight. This is the constant push-pull of performance vehicle design. Aston Martin resolves this on the DBS Superleggera by using only the finest, strongest lightweight materials, including a carbon fiber shell.

Every Bit as Fast as it Looks
The 2019 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera features the anticipated V-12, 5.2 liter, twin-turbo engine that produces a brow raising 715 hp. At about 1800 rpm, this engine generates 664 lb-ft of torque. With a top end of 211 miles per hour, the DBS Superleggera can go from zero to 62 mph in about 3.4 seconds and zero to 100 mph in 6.4 seconds. A smooth shifting 8-speed transmission compliments all this power providing exciting acceleration without the headbanging.
A Racing Interior, Technology Included
Luxury sport seating with leather inserts welcomes you into the interior of the DBS Superleggera, with race stitching adding to the cockpit atmosphere. You’ll also be welcomed to a range of new technology including a 360-degree camera, parking assist, navigation and Wi-Fi standard.
Part of the “Second-Century” Plan
The 2019 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera is the third model in the automaker’s exciting “Second Century” plan of new models with more to come. We invite you to contact us to schedule a test drive of the DBS Superleggera or any of the new line-up of Aston Martins.

2019 McLaren Senna
Introducing The 2019 McLaren Senna
With the introduction of the 2019 McLaren Senna, Aryton’s thoughts have been manifested in a striking new form. It is the “first of the first generation” of the Senna, a new hypercar, created in the image of one of Formula 1’s greatest drivers of all time. A motorcar built from hard work, extreme dedication and a high level of competence.

“I have no idols. I admire work, dedication and competence.”
Ayrton Senna, three-time Formula 1 World Champion driver for McLaren.
Designed To Win
The 2019 McLaren Senna may not be the automaker’s most expensive or most powerful edition, but, like its namesake, it is designed to win. Like Ayrton himself, the Senna is unique, focused, and one of a kind. It is potentially a legendary nameplate that pushes the limits of its capabilities.
Lightest McLaren Since The F1
The 2019 McLaren Senna seems to have been designed by the wind itself as if somehow its liquid carbon fiber shell was molded into shape inside a wind tunnel. It is carefully crafted to move the air over and even through its Monocage III chassis. At just 2850 lbs., it is McLaren’s lightest production car since its F1, which weighed in at about 2575 lbs.
The 2019 McLaren Senna is powered by a 4.0 liter, V-8 engine that produces a white-knuckle combination of 789 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. That is 79 more horsepower than the 720S. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission cranks the 20” rear tires quickly enough to set a zero to 60 time of about 2.5 seconds with of top speed nearing 215 mph.
Focused On Performance
All of this power combined with its lightweight, carbon fiber design made downforce a prime concern for the engineers at McLaren. The 2019 Senna’s wings are continuously adjusted hydraulically to increase downforce, adjust drag and to utilize as an air brake. The wing works hand-in-hand with twin airfoils in ducts under the headlights to maintain balance in the axles. Driven in “Race Mode” the front axle is lowered by 1.5 inches, and the rear by 1.2 inches. McLaren makes a point to remind drivers that the Senna is street legal.
Inside, the interior of the Senna is relatively Spartan. This is, after all, a car that is focused on what it does best. Perform.
Dramatic and Polarizing
The design of the 2019 McLaren Senna has been described as “dramatic” and even “polarizing”. Those in the market for the $900,000+ vehicle likely trust their own instincts. They will need those instincts when climbing behind the wheel of this aerodynamic piece of art.
2018 Bentley Mulsanne
Whether you have a passion for driving or if you prefer to be driven, the 2018 Bentley Mulsanne is a substantial choice in a premium motorcar. It is significant in length at about 220 inches, in weight at 5,975 lbs. and in power at 530 hp. This is a rolling office, boardroom and lounge. It is a hand-crafted testament to the Flying B brand and to those who have attained a level of achievement.
A New Level of Power
The 2018 Bentley Mulsanne achieves higher levels of performance in its own right. Powered by a 6.75 liter V-8 engine, the Mulsanne uses dual turbochargers to deliver 530 horsepower. With up to 811 lb-ft, it generates more torque than any other sedan produced. The flagship of the Bentley line up has an 8-speed Touchtronic III transmission that can propel the Mulsanne from zero to 60 in 4.8 seconds. With a top speed of 190 mph, this Bentley wastes little time in getting you where you need, or want, to be. Four suspension modes adapt to the road and your mood, with a computer that makes some 50 comfort adjustments per second.
Convenience and Comfort on a 5-Star Level
Inside the 2018 Bentley Mulsanne, driver and passengers are greeted with appointments trimmed in polished stainless steel and hand-finished rich, natural woods. Choose from 11 veneers and from two-dozen interior leather colors, with diamond quilted stitching available. The interior includes a Wi-Fi hotspot and is illuminated in ambient LED lighting. The infotainment system features an 8″ touch-screen. The steering wheel is leather-trimmed with paddle shifting. Theater style seating in the rear provides massages with a bottle chiller nearby. Exterior lighting is all LED with dark tint headlights that feature adjustments via GPS and vehicle speed to illuminate the road in four patterns. Choose optional 21″ wheels in one of three wheel patterns to provide a custom appearance.
The Mulsanne has what Bentley refers to as “four-plus-one” seating. It has generous head, leg and shoulder room and trunk space sufficient for both luggage and golf clubs. It is an extremely quiet automobile, well-insulated to lock out outside noises.
Bentley Style and Stature
The 2018 Bentley Mulsanne features an understated design with a distinctive front grille with vertical, stainless steel vanes. The 2019 Aston Martin DB11 Volante
The 2019 Aston Martin DB11 Volante at Dimmitt Automotive
Perhaps, not since James Bond drove one in the 1964 film Goldfinger, has Aston-Martin been receiving so much positive feedback from both aficionados and the general public alike. The past several years have been good to the legendary automaker and the 2019 Aston Martin DB11 Volante looks poised to keep the positive vibes going. There’s a lot to like from this soft-top edition and it starts with its almost hypnotizing looks.
A Stunner that Captivates
Before getting into the nuts and bolts of the DB11 Volante, let’s start with the obvious; it’s stunning appearance. This Aston Martin has quickly evolved into a design that is not only artistic but hypnotic. It captures your attention visually simply because there is so much to look at. It starts with a shark-like front end with sweeping headlights that reach back towards thefront tires. The sculpted hood leads to a reinforced windshield with an almost imperceptible rise that carries over its taut ragtop with a glass rear window. The fact that the top can be set up and taken down in about 15 seconds and can be accomplished at speeds up to 30 mph is a nice bonus. Its topside, front-wheel cut-outs give the appearance of movement even when the DB11 Volante is in place. A trim midsection leads to an aggressive looking, slightly hunched rear. For all of its front end and side panel drama, the elegantly designed rear deck is understated, using a swish of thin lighting to add just the right amount of artistic flair. While visually light, the DB11 Volante weighs in at a hefty 4,134 lbs., some 240 lbs. heavier than the coupe.
Now, the Nuts and Bolts
The 2019 Aston Martin DB11 Volante shrugs off its weight “problem” on the open road with a ride that is substantial. Its wide stance makes it equally enjoyable to drive on straightaways as well as through winding curves. The 503 horsepower Mercedes AMG 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine creates 513 lb-ft of torque. This is enough to deliver a modest 0-62 time of about 4.1 seconds. While one may expect its AMG engine to produce more of a throaty roar, Aston Martin designed the intake and exhaust system of the DB11 to provide a more silky voice. In form and function, this is clearly an automobile engineered and designed to work in harmony.
Outside In
The interior of the 2019 Aston Martin DB11 Volante artfully moves some of its exterior elements seamlessly inside. It starts with a sweeping center console that seems to extend the lines of the hood to the interior. This creates a true cockpit feel that is enhanced with a drivers side dashboard that is distinctively taller than that of the passenger side. The combination of its reinforced, sloping windshield combined with a tight, 8 layer soft top, provides some impressive insulating qualities. Make no mistake, however, that the BD 11 Volante is most satisfying when driving with the top down.
The Legacy Continues
Since 1913, Aston Martin has produced some amazing vehicles and the thoughtfully designed DB11 Volante should prove to build on that. With an MSRP of about $215,000, this is an Aston Martin that is reachable and that many won’t be afraid to drive daily. With that said, its stunning design will still turn heads while delivering the power and performance missing in other convertibles in its class.
2018 Aston Martin Vanquish S
A Masterful Blend of Art and Technology
After years of service to the Aston Martin brand and for its ability to excite so many automobile fans year after year, the 2018 Aston Martin Vanquish S deserves a proper send off. Its life may have been cut short by advancing technology, superb engineering and even air quality regulations, but this is a vehicle that deserves its place in Aston Martin, if not automotive, history. It is a legend that may be replicated but never replaced. The 2018 Aston Martin Vanquish S is an instant classic…two decades in the making.
That Engine
Most of the focus of the 2018 Aston Martin Vanquish S is on its naturally aspirated 5.9-liter V-12. It will soon be replaced by a new twin-turbo 12-cylinder engine, which is what, in part, makes this Aston Martin so special. While some automobile makers tune their engines to purr quietly, or roar proudly, this V-12 has a natural scream to it, a growl with a tenor that changes as it is urged along.
Large volume intake manifolds spoon more air into the engine which is then converted into 580 hp at 7,000 rpm. Torque is rated at 465 lb-ft at 5,500 rpm. Aston Martin says the top speed for 2018 Vanquish S is 201 mph and will climb from zero to 60 in just under 3.5 seconds. An upgraded 8-speed transmission delivers shifts that are smoother and more refined. Numbers aside, what will draw many to this Vanquish S is the unique sound of “that engine”. For the Aston Martin fan, it is audibly delicious.
Connected to the Road
Aston Martin has made adjustments to the chassis of this Vanquish S, increasing spring rates and improving the tuning of its shocks. They have stiffened the rear anti-roll bar just a bit giving it a firmer ride that doesn’t impair the quality. While the Vanquish S looks substantial, at about 3,830 lbs., it is surprisingly agile.
Aston Martin refers to the Vanquish S as its ultimate super GT. Stunning design and good looks are complemented by an interior that is impeccably augmented in fine, stitched leather. Driver and passengers alike are embraced in racing style seats in a cockpit that leaves no room for misinterpretation. This is indeed the automaker’s ultimate super GT. It is and will be respected as one of a kind.

2019 Rolls-Royce Cullinan
2019 Rolls-Royce Cullinan
Three years is a long time to tease an entrance into the SUV market but that’s about how long Rolls-Royce has taken to make its move to introduce the Cullinan. Size may not be everything but it is difficult to talk about the Rolls-Royce Cullinan without noting just how large it is. Everything about the Rolls-Royce Cullinan is big. The automakers first SUV follows the Bentley Bentayga V8 and the Lamborghini Urus as latecomers to the luxury segment. Perhaps it just needed a little more time to grow up. The Cullinan is six feet tall, exceeding the height of the Bentayga by four inches. The Cullinan weighs in at a whopping 5,860 pounds. It sits upon substantial 22” wheels. Its name was even taken from the biggest diamond ever discovered. What’s perhaps most interesting about this Rolls-Royce, is that the iconic Rolls-Royce vertical, slatted grille works perfectly on this SUV. It is almost as if the vehicle grew into it.
Order yours today!
While its massive size may be the first thing one notices, it doesn’t take long to recognize that Rolls-Royce has taken its entrance into the SUV market very seriously. It may be time to go big and go home.
An Off-Road Rolls?
It may be hard to imagine climbing over rocks and boulders in this $325,000 vehicle but it is important to know you could. The Cullinan features the automaker’s first ever all-wheel drive and an all-wheel steering system. The aluminum frame and suspension has been beefed up using large capacity air struts and stronger drive and prop shafts. A simple touch of the start button automatically elevates the Cullinan to its off-road driving height. This is an SUV that can travel through water up to 21” deep.

Big Power
A vehicle this substantial deserves substantial power and the Cullinan delivers. It has a 6.75 liter, twin-turbo V12 Rolls-Royce engine. This massive power plant creates some 563 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. It may also be hard to imagine this SUV reaching a top speed of 155 mph but it is also nice to know it could.

Luxury, Technology, Safety and Convenience
The large stature of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan pays off in a roomy interior with ample seating room for five. Choose from two captains chairs in the rear or bench seating. If you are so inclined, there is a dual, rear-facing seating option that extends over the rear bumper with the tailgate open. It provides a unique seating area for tailgating or just enjoying a sunset.

The list of technology in this Rolls is long and includes a high-resolution, heads-up display, night vision and an alert-assist that helps prevent drowsy driving. There are multiple crash-avoidance systems including a wildlife and pedestrian warning system and active cruise control. All around visibility is facilitated through a four-camera parking system. The Cullinan has a navigation and infotainment system and onboard Wi-Fi. Doors close from the exterior at the touch of the door handle.

What drivers will really appreciate about the Rolls-Royce Cullinan is its exceptional “Phantom-like” ride. This is destined to be an extraordinarily comfortable SUV that is quiet and smooth. The new Rolls-Royce Cullinan is expected to start hitting the road, and off-road, in early 2019.

2018 Cheval Golf Tournament
Cheval Golf Tournament
SUNDAY, JUNE 10 — Dimmitt was the title sponsor of the Chef’s School of Chop Golf Tournament and tasting at Cheval. You could find all of the cars just behind the tasting area where there was a putting contest happening.
We were joined by the St. Petersburg Distillery, who donated bottles of vodka to putt at. The goal was to make a putt and hit a bottle of Banyan Vodka. You win a bottle of vodka and then all of the money raised would go towards Children’s Home Network. This was the second year the Chef’s School of Chop has had this tournament and it was a great success yet again.
Children’s Home Network has been around since the late 1800s when it was started by Miss Carrie Hammerly. It began as one small house where she took care of a few children and grew into a large organization with an 88-acre campus, as well as six other locations throughout Florida, taking care of over 25,000 kids and families.
The mission of Children’s Home Network is to unlock the potential of at-risk children and families by providing compassionate and effective services that create opportunities for success. They provide eight services to try to help every person that walks through their doors. Everyone has their own unique story, so they have to be able to help in many different ways.
In December 2015 they created an Adolescents in Motherhood program. They also have their own foster families team that works on finding the best families for the kids that they support.
Their main goal is to make sure these kids and families are given the opportunities to live a successful like. They help them overcome neglect and abuse, as well as tutoring them, and eventually helping them find the perfect home.
We hope everyone who attended the event had a great time and got a chance to check out some of our cars and win themselves a bottle!

2019 Aston Martin DB11 AMR
The 2019 Aston Martin DB11 AMR

When Aston Martin introduced AMR in 2018 in Geneva, it stated the goal was to have a racing/performance edition for every car it produced. Quite a goal for an automaker with DNA already so firmly rooted in racing. Well, taking the green flag for the AMR badge in 2019 is the Aston Martin DB11 AMR, a more powerful, racing enhanced version of the DB11.
Impressive Power
The DB11 AMR is equipped with a muscular 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine. To fully appreciate what the AMR designation means in terms of power, it can be easiest to compare it to its DB11 sibling. While the DB11 produces an impressive 600 hp, the DB11 AMR coaxes another 30 hp, an increase to 630 hp. This improves the zero to 60 time from 3.9 to 3.5 seconds and moves the needle upward for its top speed from 200 mph to 208 mph. Perhaps though, what is a bit more impressive than the increase in power is the cleaner transitions between gears the improved 8-speed auto transmission provides.
The DB11 AMR V12 engine generates a symphony of sounds that stirs the senses. Even at idle, its deep hum provides a sense of anticipation. In full voice, it is the perfect soundtrack to a remarkable driving experience.
Precisely Balanced
AMR is more than producing more raw power. It is about producing a vehicle that is in perfect balance. The DB11 AMR’s chassis has been precisely tuned and modified for superior handling. The rear subframe is firmer and engine mounts that have been upgraded. These upgrades provide improved handling without being too tight or sacrificing the quality of your ride. Drivers select from GT, Sport and Sport Plus driving modes, each providing a slightly different driving experience. Forged alloy wheels complete the balanced functionality while adding a distinctive flair to the DB11 AMR’s more aggressive appearance.
Building the AMR Brand
Aston Martin is building the AMR brand through use of its distinctive Aston Martin Racing logo and slightly more aggressive styling. You do, after all, want the world to know you’ve made the decision to invest in this performance-enhanced edition of the already attractive DB11. Headlights, tail lights and the grille are trimmed in dark monochrome and carbon fiber side strakes and hood vents add to its distinctive appearance. Crafted stitched interiors with AMR logos in the headrests add to the cockpit feel of the DB11 AMR.
There are a limit of 100 AMR Signature Editions produced in distinctive stirling green and lime colors with less noticeable versions available in more muted colors.
Schedule Your Test Drive
We cordially invite you to learn more about the DB11 AMR and review our inventory. Should you desire a test drive, please feel free to connect with us and schedule an appointment. Be one of the first to experience the exciting new 2019 DB11 AMR.
