18th Annual Pasco Education Foundation Golf Classic
Audi Wesley Chapel had a great time sponsoring the 18th Annual Pasco Education Foundation Golf Classic on Friday, October 19th!
Golfers gathered at the beautiful Lake Jovita Golf Country Club to take part in the annual golf tournament (and, of course, to see some gorgeous Audi display vehicles brought out for the occasion).
The Pasco Education Foundation has been serving the Pasco County public school system for almost 30 years. Thanks to a combined effort from committed individuals, businesses, organizations, and to events like the annual golf classic, the Pasco Education Foundation has been able to disburse nearly $1 million every year to Pasco public schools. The charity funds creative teaching grants, scholarships, staff development, and educational materials for students and staff of Pasco County Schools.

2019 McLaren 720S
The 2019 McLaren 720S just may be the definition of “supercar”. Especially if your definition of a supercar is a sports car with more power than you may likely ever use. You see, the McLaren 720S is the fastest production car ever manufactured by the automaker. That’s pretty impressive when you consider McLaren’s long history in racing. What you’re getting with the 720S is impeccable design, extraordinary power, and an attention-getting, head-turning supercar that without question, will impress.
Strap Yourself In for a Ride of Your Life
It is likely you’ve never experienced the power and acceleration available under your right foot like that offered by the 2019 McLaren 720S. The 4-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine can reach a top speed of 212 mph. The engine produces an astounding 710 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque. The zero to 60 time is a blistering 2.5 seconds. Feel the need to hit the century mark quickly? The 720s has a zero to 100, pedal to the metal time of just 5.3 seconds.
There’s a few things to remember about all this power. The mid-engine design means this power is being produced right behind the Monocell II carbon fiber tub. An advanced Adaptive Road Suspension keeps the car firmly in balance and in place. McLaren’s Active Aero Flow discretely hides the rear spoiler until it is needed upon accelerating. It raises like an airbrake when making a quick stop after deployed.
An Interior that Feels as Fast as it Looks
The racing-inspired interior is cozy but offers surprising head and shoulder room. Driver and passenger are nestled in racing-inspired seats. Infotainment options are digitally available on a center console. The gauge cluster provides a wealth of important data on a bright, easy-to-read screen.
The real show-stopper in the interior of the 720S is that at the push of a button, the gauge cluster will tuck away when in track mode, revealing a secondary, straightforward display designed to minimize distractions when on the track.

Festival of Speed’s Wheels, Watches, & Whiskey
Last Thursday, October 11, 2018, Dimmitt hosted Festival of Speed’s Wheels, Watches, and Whiskey event.
A fabulous display of exotic cars, timepieces, and luxury brands such at Patek Philippe, Rolex, Breathing, Cartier, Panerai, and Omega were presented inside of our ultra-luxury showroom in St. Petersburg. Some of the incredible makes on display included Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, McLaren, Maserati, Ferrari, and Aston Martin. Everyone enjoyed a wine and spirit tasting featuring over 60 wines and spirits, and to add to the excitement, there was a live auction featuring different wines and luxury items.
One-hundred percent of the auction’s proceeds went directly to Kids Beating Cancer, a charity that serves children diagnosed with leukemia, cancer, and 80 other malignant and non-malignant life threatening diseases. Removing barriers and burdens placed on families that limit their ability to access stem cell transplantation, the best and only hope for a cure for their child is the goal Kids Beating Cancer accomplishes every day. Dimmitt Automotive Group is proud to participate in the Florida Hope Scholarship Program. The program provides private school tuition for student victims of bullying and violence.
Bullying is a major problem faced by students today. A whopping 70% of young people have reported witnessing bullying. And almost a third of our nation’s students have reported experiencing bullying or violence in school. But for many families, transferring their child to a private school isn’t an option.
In 2018, the Florida Legislature launched a program to support those victims. And Dimmitt Automotive proudly signed up to participate. Now, when a student in public school experiences bullying or violence at school, the child’s family can go to the Florida Department of Education for help. The Hope Scholarship will help to transfer the student to a private school. Any student from kindergarten through 12th grade who has experienced bullying is eligible. The Hope Scholarship Program is not based on financial need.

Dimmitt Automotive was proud to sponsor the Pinellas County Alzheimer’s Association’s 2018 Charity Golf Tournament in September.
About 80 golfers gathered at the beautiful Innisbrook Copperhead Golf Course to raise money in the fight against Alzheimer’s Disease, which affects 1 in 3 seniors in the United States.
Dimmitt Automotive treated the participants and volunteers to a Bentley experience at the entrance. Also, we offered a gorgeous Cadillac as a prize to anyone who could hit a hole in one. (No winners these year—keep training, golfers!)

2019 Bentley Bentayga V8
Much of what is being said about the 2019 Bentley Bentayga V8 is in comparison to its W12 sibling. We think this new Bentayga stands up just fine on its own, thank you very much. In fact, with this Bentley, the case can be made that less is more.
The smaller engine makes it lighter and more agile. It has an appealing hum to its V8 engine. It also has a more attractive entry fee. When it comes to choices, luxury, and excess, it is still, after all, a Bentley. This is a luxury SUV that has earns the right to wear the Flying B.
About that V8 Engine
The centerpiece of the 2019 Bentley Bentayga V8 is, of course, its twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 engine. This intercooled DOHC 32-valve V-8 power plant with an aluminum block and heads along with direct fuel injection generate a still impressive 542 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 568-lb-ft of torque at 1960 revs. This Bentayga is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission with a manual shifting mode. Even with its significant 5,400 lb curb weight, the 2019 Bentayga V8 can accelerate from zero to 60 in 3.8 seconds. It can do a standing ¼ mile in 12.2 seconds and has a top speed of 180 mph. Despite its power, this Bentley can still get 21 mpg on the highway. What more could one want in a V8 luxury SUV?
A Sportier Drive
Bentley has returned the suspension to the Bentayga’s all-wheel-drive system and offers up to eight different driving modes. Choose from four off- road and four on-road modes that better allow the V8 engine, drivetrain, and chassis to work in harmony for maximum performance in a wide variety of driving conditions. This is an SUV with a surprisingly agile, sporty feel to it, enhanced by a throaty soundtrack from its V8 engine. It should be driven for full appreciation.
Bentley Style, Luxury and Personalization
Outside, the 2019 Bentley Bentayga V8 features the brand’s traditional bold lines and husky appearance that seems to fit particularly well over this SUV’s frame. There’s a new, aggressive appearing black-out grille, noticeable red brake calipers, and twin-quad exhaust pipes. There are also the almost endless choices that Bentley has been known to offer its discriminating owners including custom exterior paint and interior leather colors. Inside Bentley maintains the classic analog treatment for its dials and gauges. Choose from a variety of seating configurations and a rear entertainment system.
The choices continue with an array of intriguing technical options including adaptive cruise control, night vision, automatic parking and a heads-up display with road sign recognition. There is even an advanced trailer assist feature that will steer the Bentayga automatically for you when backing up whatever is being towed.

As our way of saying thank you to the Pasco Sheriff’s Office, Audi Wesley Chapel presented the Audi of Wesley Chapel Servant Leadership Award at the ceremony on August 23rd. The award recognizes any member of the Pasco Sheriff’s Office, sworn or civilian, who goes above and beyond the call of duty.
To earn a nomination, the public servant must have demonstrated leadership and selflessness. Nominees might have committed an act of bravery, or shown dedication to community service, or performed any other action that puts others before themselves.
