What’s Familiar

Range Rover remains king of the hill of all Land Rover models, particularly when it comes to luxury, roomy, comfortable interiors, raw size and off-road capabilities. There are smaller, less expensive editions of the Range Rover available like the Evoque, Sport, and Velar editions. While they are impressive in their own right, this is the grandaddy, the legend, the boss. In that, the 2019 Range Rover remains true to itself. It is opulent in both its features and in its off-road capabilities. Improving sales of the model demonstrate this is a powerful and popular combination. It remains ruggedly handsome and stands tall both physically and figuratively above the competition. There are some familiar engine choices for the 2019 Range Rover, including a choice of a supercharged 3.0-liter gas V-6 engine, a turbo-diesel 3.0-liter V-6 version and a supercharged 5.0-liter gas V-8. Each model is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission along with permanent four-wheel drive. The V-8 edition is also available in a long-wheelbase edition, adding just over seven inches to rear legroom.

What’s New

The biggest news is that for 2019 the Range Rover adds its first plug-in hybrid, the HSE P400e. This plug-in edition will travel up to 31 miles in electric-only mode. It boasts a lithium-ion battery that recharges on a 220-volt charger in under three hours. A traditional 110-v outlet will take about 7.5 hours to recharge the battery. The 2019 Range Rover P400e comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission. When combined, the engine and electric motor produce just under 400 (398) hp. More subtle improvements for 2019 include new LED headlights and a better adaptive braking system designed to stop the vehicle in traffic.

A Relentless Commitment to Comfort and Luxury

Inside the 2019 Range Rover, you’ll discover detailed and thoughtful use of veneer and trim finishes. Deep-cushioned, furniture-quality seating provides a first-class environment. Touch Pro™ Duo’s beautifully integrated 10” touch screens keep you connected and entertained from one convenient screen. Even the steering wheel features convenient yet unobtrusive hidden-until-lit, touch-sensitive switches. Comfort is ensured with optional four-zone Climate Control and Cabin Air Ionization. From an on-board refrigerator to a sunshade that activates at the wave of a hand, the Range Rovers anticipates what you need before you need it.
